Next Metro - Instant Timetable Access
NEXT METRO is a simple and elegant offline timetable app for the Newcastle Nexus Metro system. It is aimed at people who take regular journeys and need to know when their next timetabled Metro is due.
The whole Metro timetable is stored in the App so no internet access is required for the Next Metro App to work fully.
Next Metro Features
Your journeys are synced to the Apple Watch in order to give you immediate access to Metro times. This works through an App, a Glance or Complication. With the complications on your Apple Watch clock face you can see the next metro time instantly. Alternatively swipe up to view the Glance and see the following metro times too.
The App also uses the new Force Touch system introduced on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It gives quick access shortcuts to managing your journeys and accessing your nearest metro station.
If you allow background location access to the Next Metro app, it will update the journeys on your Watch by distance to each Metro station.
In the latest version of the App we’ve also introduced search functionality within Siri and the iPhone’s search bar. You can now find journey information even quicker.
Don’t forget to try out the Today Extension as well, the fastest way to see the Next Metro from your nearest stations. It orders your journeys based on the nearest station to your location. This makes it quick and easy to see your personal timetable. Click through to get the following metro times from the App.
You can manage journeys from all the stations on the system, from Newcastle Central Station to Sunderland, Jesmond, the Airport and Tynemouth are all included. You can add as many journeys as you like, but Next Metro works best if you add a few regular journeys.
