Time Machine is a unique interactive learning experience that plays out a story online in the classroom before becoming an interactive event at the cinema. It celebrates the rich heritage of Tyneside Cinema as the last purpose-built surviving News Theatre in the UK still screening film full time.
News Theatres played a crucial role in bringing local, national and international news stories to the public for decades and now Tyneside Cinema goes back to its roots to place them in the context of the national curriculum in a way that will excite, inspire and delight pupils at Key Stage 2.
We developed the iPad App that’s used for the final stage of the experience within the cinema that combines games, challenges and excitement for the interactive element of the stories climax.
